My Background in Foreign Exchange

Foreign exchange has been a core part of my life for well over a decade.

As an active FX trader, I’ve spent years:

  • Following global currency movements

  • Understanding exchange rate pricing

  • Watching how banks and providers apply margins

That experience naturally carried over into real-world money transfers - where the difference between providers can often mean thousands of dollars on a single transaction.

Today, I help people with:

Why This Matters Personally

Having lived in London, Singapore, Dubai, Doha and Cairo, moving money internationally became part of everyday life. For salaries, property purchases, investments and family transfers.

That’s where I learned a simple truth:

small exchange-rate differences can create very large costs.

And every time we compared options, one thing was consistent:

Again and again, banks proved to be the most expensive option - often by thousands.

These days, life is a little quieter.

My husband and I now live in Cambridge, New Zealand, after many years overseas.

When I’m not talking currencies, you’ll usually find my husband and I enjoying good food and wine, planning our next trip, or often all three on a Sunday evening at Alpino here in Cambridge.
